To think that 2 months is too long to find out if a mass is cancerous is ridiculous?

I know! Crumbling NHS, workers working harder than ever. However, are there not guidelines for suspected cancer investigations? I presented in April to my GP with a noticeable mass in my abdomen and other symptoms. Serious enough to warrant a 2ww referral to GI. Had endoscopies both ends nothing found-Great! So what is the lump and why the symptoms? Haemorrhoids🤨 OK, so that's why there is blood in my FIT result (which I knew nothing about!) How about what I've gone to the GP about? Another 2ww to urology, only it wasn't actioned (found out after 13 days as I called urology outpatients). So now almost 2 months on, I'm no clearer to understanding what the mass is in my abdomen (or the other worrying symptoms). Sorry to whinge, I know others have it worse, but this painful! Both physically and mentally.

Could you afford to go private? It’s not ideal admittedly but it’s something I’d consider in the current state of affairs!

Yes, I can. Thank you for responding 🙂Although one of the reasons it has taken so long (I assume) is the process. So first referral possible cancer in one medical field, then second referral cancer in a totally different medical field (which unfortunately, I was advised, it was written on medical notes but then not sent at the time). I read (on Twitter) that a patients referral was not accepted due to a specific box not being ticked, without knowing the reason, ok I guess. But then time moves on there is seemingly no oversight. Patients then have to fight to speak or see someone. How many don't bother? I've said this before about the NHS there does not seem to be capacity to look at the whole person. People slip the net.
