Did wfh mean you moved somewhere nicer/cheaper?

Prior to wfh I had to pay a premium for living in a very unremarkable new build in a London commuter town.

As I now only need to be in the office 2 days a week Dp and I moved to a lovely cottage in Devon. Not only is it cheaper it is literally chocolate box pretty. I was just thinking how much happier I am (late 20s). Get the best of both worlds.

Did wfh change your set up massively for the better?

Yes, but we did it years before Covid. We just negotiated the move with our respective companies. We got a bigger, cheaper house with better schools and the opportunity to live near some family. When Covid hit, nothing changed for us in terms of work.

Nope. Still have kids at a brilliant school and a commuter husband. It’s a lovely place to live though anyway , we’d struggle to find a house like it.

Yes definitely.

Both had jobs on the south coast near two cities. During COVID both jobs went to WFH permanently (company decisions) and we moved to the Midlands. Now in a village with views over fields, kids in the village school, a house that we can extend in multiple ways as our family grows and a slower pace of life. DH has always wanted to bring our kids up in the countryside like he was and it's been nice to achieve that already.
