I have an ongoing complaint with BT. I am being sent from pillow to post and getting nowhere.

I've tried BT complaint to no avail

but how will the directors help as presumably they will delegate it to lower level managers ?

I was always so sceptical about this, but I did it with a long running car issue (as much to have proof in writing that I had attempted to resolve the issue before taking legal action), and within a week it was sorted as my email was forwarded to the team who actually had authority to authorise non-standard repairs. I actually cried when the woman called me and told me it would be fixed without me even having to tell her the whole spiel again.

Can't help with BT OP, but just google "BT CEO email" and you'll find something. Obviously the CEO won't be replying to you, but it will hopefully find its way to a more senior customer services team. Good luck. Flowers

@EarthyMamma i have the same with BT. Currently ongoing. You have to call repeatedly, then go to the ombudsman. They are an absolute shambles

Fair points.

You are totally right and that's what I will do.
Honestly this has been appalling.
No.one ever calls back when they say they will.
If you ring them it invalidates the time the complaint started.

Surely someone somewhere in BT can take responsibility?

@EarthyMamma literally the exact same thing has happened to me. It’s appalling. The company is an absolute disgrace.

They are a truly terrible company and cut off our broadband accidentally then took 3 weeks to get it back on. I contacted someone on Linkedin and it did get faster action (the 3 weeks was an improvement on their original estimate!). So it is worth doing.

Not BT, but Virgin Media. We were getting nowhere with a major problem (no internet, mobiles or landline, while a terminally ill parent was being nursed at home by a mixture of carers and nurses from many different agencies). My husband called Ofcom (the ombudsman). Within 24 hours he had a call from a board level director at Virgin, and the problem was sorted within a very short time.
So try that!
