my husband has zero photos from his childhood. MIL had plenty of photos of his older brother. my husband was also sent to a boarding school and his brother was not.

Many parents are not perfect. They do their best.
The same resources are not always available for each child.

Often the first child has the most photos - simple to blame new parent excitement and being less busy and having time and money for photos.

Boarding school maybe was too expensive when the brother was small. Your husband benefitted as they did afford it for him.
I think all kids remember the worst of family life, the funniest of family life and the best off amily life.
Encourage your husband to talk about and remember the best and funniest things about his childhood and about his parents..

@BabySnarkDoDoo Same with me, although I was born in 1970! Loads of my three older brothers as babies etc , none of me.There's one of me & my youngest older brother aged 3 and 6 that apparently a man was going road the doors taking photos!?!? Parents told me they were skint after 4 children and just couldn't be arsed ! 🤣 I used to think I was adopted for reason but there's no mistaking my dad's big nose and ears ! ( Also birth certificate!)

hey. is my story not interesting to anyone?

Not to me it's not.
People can read what they want on here it's not all about your thread
Plus it's your husband's story not yours to tell.

Not really... There's clearly a massive back story to explain this clearly awful treatment. But if you're not going to give the details, then what's the point? Plus it's not even your story!

It's awful, everyone can tell from your 2 and a half line post that it's awful. But if you want to get a dialogue going, you're going to have to give more than that.
