Am I worrying for nothing or do I need to?

Been on here for years and have name changed as I don't want this to be linked to my username. Posting on here for traffic.

So I've just jumped out of the shower and noticed the skin on the edge of my armpit has dimpled, like an indent. I know dimples in the breast is a sign of breast cancer but are ones found on your armpit a sign too? I don't have any other symptoms or lumps.

Am I worrying for nothing or do you think it could be something to see a GP about? I guess I know I should for peace of mind but I I’d love to hear if anyone has had similar and it's been nothing or just normal.

For full disclosure, my sister has had BRACA2 breast cancer and as she has the faulty gene there is a good chance I have it too.

YABU - nothing to worry about, it’s normal.
YANBU - go see a GP urgently.

Go and see a GP. Much better to get these things checked.

It could be absolutely nothing! But your job is to notice everything and get checked out as early as possible everytime. So get that GP appointment and get some peace of mind.

Given the genetic breast cancer risk, you should see a GP. You’d be crazy not to.

I don’t have the risk factors you do, but I recently saw a GP because of unusual breast/arm pit pain and it was really quick and reassuring and I wasn’t made to feel annoying or time wasting, I’m glad I went even though they weren’t concerned.

Absolutely go and get it checked. Hopefully your GP will put your mind at rest, but if it is cancer, the earlier It is caught the better.

I don't know but I'd go to the doctor just in case and to stop you worrying.

Thanks everyone. I will see a GP and just pray it’s nothing and I’m being a drama llama.

Just an update - I’m relieved to say I’ve visited the GP and they’ve said it’s nothing to worry about! Thanks for all the advice.
