Just that really, do you believe there’s karma where systems/public services have failed to hold people accountable for their actions?

I don't think there's karma as in a simple tit-for-tat on a universe level, no.

I suppose what I believe is more akin to "one good turn deserves another" ie if you are a kind person there's likely to be more kindness around when you need it, which you will at some point because no-one can avoid grief, death, illness, redundancy etc forever.

No, but some people do get the consequences of their own actions. Like when you have been a horrible bitch or bastard to a colleague who is then promoted above you and will not exactly go out of their way to help you.
When you cheat and then get cheated on, as your affair partner is clearly fine with the idea of affairs.
When you cry wolf and make up shit, and later nobody believes you.

I havve many examples of those situations.

Not karma per se but horrible people I may come across are likely to be like that with everyone and will therefore suffer the consequences at some point.

MartyFunkhouser · 16/06/2024 21:15

No. It’s a very silly notion people believe to make themselves feel better.

Interesting responses. I always believed everything happened for a reason and things always worked themselves out. Sometimes it’s extremely hard to understand why certain things happen and that’s when I started to think about karma. I probably thought more would believe than seem to
