To think I have any chance of getting TS tickets?

Reasonably unlimited budget (but within some kind of reason…) child desperate to go. Will travel anywhere in Europe.

Terrified of buying tickets which are fake, have never done this before. Is there a legitimate way to do it? Loads available on StubHub but worse than not getting tickets would be thinking we have tickets and them turning out to be fake.

I think twickets is safe place to buy tickets. Maybe try there. Tickets kept popping up for Taylor swift in Edinburgh all last weekend.

I bought some from Stubhub last week. There is info on each set of tickets about the seller- ours were from a US 'trading company' calked TEX which I had checked out and that gave me confidence they were legit. All was fine (apart from my bank balance)

If you can go last minute they pop up on Twickets the day before and day of. I was refreshing all day yesterday, they sell quickly so you have to be on it.

Are they definitely legit and guaranteed?
thank you

Stubhub is fairly reliable as the seller doesn’t get paid if your tickets don’t work.

cimena · 14/06/2024 08:55

There is nothing to protect you if you buy a fake ticket on viagogo on stubhub. Some are real and some are fake and you won’t know til you get to the gate. To get your money back if it’s fake is not automatic and a pain in the arse. You’re also supporting a horrible industry by buying from them.

Twickets, AXS, Ticketmaster, Eventim all are legit. AXS, Ticketmaster and Eventim all have fan to fan resale which is guaranteed to be a real ticket.

For the UK I would be trying on AXS throughout the day the day before the show, or 8-11am on the day of the show. Also keep an eye on Ticketmaster.

In Europe I would look at CTS Eventim (in the countries that have it) and Ticketmaster.

This might be no help but if you joined the waitlist and didn’t get taken off, check your email the day before any concerts you registered for. A friend and I got last minute extra release tickets for Edinburgh once they had put the stage up and reassessed how many people could fit inside the stadium. They were standing, but we had an amazing view.

keylimedog · 14/06/2024 09:13

I thought only AXS and Ticketmaster (the original sales sites) are good for guaranteed genuine tickets - the others all have associated risks.

Did you get any pre sale codes? Venues are releasing more tickets on the day of (up to a few hours beforehand) as PP have said, we saw people at Edinburgh who'd bought tickets that morning.

Throwaway1234567890000000 · 14/06/2024 10:27

I don’t have a code as she didn’t even know who TS was when the tour was announced. Now she’s a die hard Swiftie 😭

Thanks so much for the advice!

A lot of fans are going to the areas outside of venues and just relaxing + listening to the music (you can definitely hear it outside of the stadiums!), people did it at Edinburgh and I've seen social media posts of Liverpool fans doing the same.

Hopefully if you keep an eye on the resales on Ticketmaster etc people will list if they can't go! Good luck!

Stompythedinosaur · 14/06/2024 10:37

I bought two tickets on StubHub a couple of days ago for Wembley. The seller transferred them via Ticketmaster straight away.

We were aware that there was a risk the tickets might not be sent but the guarantee for getting your money back seems ok, though of course it would have been upsetting for dd as we wouldn't have been able to go.

For us it was a risk worth taking, though I appreciate we are lucky to be in that position.

Stompythedinosaur · 14/06/2024 10:39

I can see pp saying you won't know if the tickets are legit, but if they are on the Ticketmaster app I don't see how they couldn't be? You aren't buying physical tickets that could be faked.

That is true, if there’s a in app ticket you’re probably fine. But if they never send it to you, not so much!

Absolutely, that was the risk I think!
