Do parents actually teach their children manners anymore?

I get the bus to and from work each day and every day without fail young people push to the front of the bus queue, this is everything from school kids in uniform to early 20s going to work. I go at a variety of times and stops so not the same people every day.

I have always taught my DC to wait their turn, AIBU to say most parents don't seem to bother these days?

Massive generalisation. I find older people just as rude, if not ruder.

I was waiting for the bus last week (at the bus station). A slightly older couple walked the length of the queue and asked me if they could sit down on the bench I was on. I stood up to let them sit. When the bus came in, they hared it to the doors.
In my experience its older people who push in.
I'd have let them go ahead of me, but there were people in front of me too, plus someone with a walking aid.

Do people line up in a queue when waiting at a bus stop then? I’ve never seen that round my way (London Zone 3). People just hang around and then get on when the bus arrives. Whoever happens to be closer to the door wherever it stops goes first, except for a bit of politely holding back to let old people go first.
No angst needed - except maybe on tube strike days when there’s a bit of jeopardy about whether you’ll actually get on!
