I blame Sabrina for starting this trend.

Melissa Joan Hart
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Millie Bobby Brown

It's everywhere now.

I give up. Who is Sabrina?

Needmorelego · 13/06/2024 20:42

@LiterallyOnFire Sabrina the Teenage Witch - played by Melissa Joan Hart on the telly 🙂

Reminds me of a friend dd had. Her mother called her Sarah Jane (not real name) so I always called her Sarah Jane.
One day she asked dd why does your mum always call me Sarah Jane?
Errr because that’s your name replied dd.
Except Jane was her middle name, only Sarah was her first name!

How hard is it to call people what they want to be called?

Some people use two names

Some people do not like shortening of their name

Some people go by nicknames

People seem determined to make an issue where there isn't one

My, hardly new...my great grandmother is the oldest I can think of in my family, and she was born in the Victorian era...Florence Julia. We all have two names. Personally, I only got called both when my mum was mightily pissed off with me...

James Earl Jones is 93 so yea, this isn't new ...
