To take my ill child to Disneyland Paris?

To be clear - this is not something I did!!!

I guess it's more of a wwyd, but I couldn't find that topic for some reason.

So, this hypothetical version of me has booked Disneyland Paris with my husband and two children. Leaving on a Saturday.
On the Friday, school call - 'can you collect child1, they aren't well'. Child is collected, and vomits! Still, this version of me and the rest of my family leave the house late that night as planned, child being sick along the way. Child continues to be sick, even once we've arrived. Regardless of this, we all continue along our merry way around the park the next day, I'm even arrogant enough to announce on social media that I've dragged child 1 round the park with a 40.2 degree temp!

Is it just me, or is this version of me an absolutely selfish prick?
I mean, surely I've got insurance?! Yes, disappointing all round to delay, but how much fun could it actually have been - especially for the poorly child.
Strangely, no one commenting on the post mentioned above has queried traipsing around a busy park with said sick child.

I think it's a cruel thing to do to a child. Who wants to vomit their way through Disneyland?

Or, as I said in the OP, the child's temp was declared in a social media post.

Awful. Poor child being taken on holiday when they should have been tucked up on the sofa or in bed. Poor other people at Disney land who end up getting ill.

Sorry to those of you that didn't like that way I wrote the OP, won't happen again. I was trying to make it fit AIBU, but will word anything posted it future differently.

Actually, one poster has tried to pick flaws in what I've said, as well as how I've written it.

Has someone on your FB or IG posted this and you want us all to say what an arse they are? If not, why are you making stuff up to be judged over?

OP, I found your post very clear. Yes, your friend on social media was unreasonable and inconsiderate spreading a vomiting illness over a theme park and dragging a small child around when ill. They are even more unreasonable to be declaring it on Facebook like it’s an achievement rather than something pretty shitty.

Long time user who name changes frequently, and I’ve also posted under this username before. The search function on Mumsnet is awful, so probably hasn’t shown those previous posts.

Also troll hunting and sock puppet hunting isn’t allowed, so report me if you suspect that. Don’t throw accusations around.
