To think that you can load the dishwasher wrong?

DH is terrible for loading the dishwasher 'badly' like a bowl taking up 4 plate slots instead of being put in the top where it can slot in at an angle with the other bowls. Plates in each of the 4 bottom sections, instead of all in 1 so that you can load all the plates in 1 area and the Pyrex dish (or whatever) in another.

I don't think he does it on purpose and I do say it to him but he just says he'll readjust it if needed, but he usually doesn't. Strangely he loves that we put the forks, knives, spoons etc into their own slot as 'it's so easy to unload now' yet the plates can be all over the place an a cup thrown in for good measure.

This of course is meant to be light hearted and before any point out that I have little to worry about I actually have loads to worry about but sometimes little things niggle!!

YABU - Loaded is loaded
YANBU - If you do it correctly your fit way more in

@stayathomer but it is the best 😜I don't have a specific pattern or places or things. Just what fits best instead of 5 really badly placed items taking up the whole dishwasher

Well I’m OCD on loading the dishwasher and am forever moving things around that other family members have put in.

To me it makes sense to have separate rows of small plates, large plates, small bowls and large bowls.

Saucepans, chopping boards etc go behind the above.
Glasses and mugs have their own order on the top row.
It makes it so much easier for me to empty the next morning

My husband recently sent me this meme. I'm the 'Scandi architect' loader. 😂

I don't have a dishwasher and worked as a cleaner, had this horrible arrogant broke bimbo who never used to pay on time but acted like she was better than me that used to moan about me loading the dishwasher when cleaners mostly don't do this and I wasn't one of them, done it as a favour and she still moaned.
Sorry random rant

Well I am the one who loads it up "wrong" according to my DH. I insist there is no right or wrong way, apart from cups and bowls being put top down, so they end up full of water - but I don't do that! If it is 1) loaded 2) comes out clean, it is loaded correctly.

@CourtenayDevon I'm definitely a raccoon, bar the substance abuse! Under eye shadows - check, furry paws - check, constantly shuffling around the bins - check.

Big debate with us is whether the cutlery should be handle end up or down. I think down but apparently having the blade, or fork end upwards is a dangerous practice if someone falls on it. Which is, of course, a common household accident.

My manual says handle down will give the best results, but be aware it could be hazardous in the event of someone falling on it, specially young children. It recommends keeping small children out of the kitchen when loading or unloading.
