Extra curricular activities for kids

Aibu to think we have way too much going on here or is the is normal?
Myself and my husband have 3 kids he's gone 7-7 5 days a week plus travels frequently too, I'm gone 3 days a week.
Our children are all school age between 5-12.

One dc does swimming twice a week, trains twice a week for athletics and then trains for local football twice a week plus match at weekend and now sometimes midweek.
DC 2&3 swim one a week, trains once and week athletics, gymnastics once a week, dancing once a week and then football training twice a week plus match at the weekend.

Is this normal in your household or would you say all this is a bit too much? Some of the activities like gym and dancing are after school but the other activities often mean not getting home until 9pm in the evening especially if the match is away. I get up for work at 3am so depending on the day I may be running on 4/5 hours sleep.

For us, that would be too much. But I prioritise downtime and quiet. I did a lot of running around as a child and was rarely home.

We have 2 dc, 6 and 11 years old. The 6 year old doesn’t have any scheduled activities. I plan to sign him up for cubs next year when he turns 7 if he wants to do it.

11 year old does gymnastics one evening a week and scouts another evening. That’s it. She will do other things like camping or climbing or mountain biking, but not in an organised every week thing.

No.
Not including activities that happen at school
They have
Scouts x1 each (different nights as they attend different groups)
DD1: climbing lesson a Saturday
DD2: rugby training Friday, then Sundays during the season.

I'm by myself, I can only be in one place at a time. My week...
Monday... nothing
Tuesday ... Cubs (I'm the leader!) Out 5-7.30
Wednesday DD2 Scouts, out 6.30-9pm
Thursday... nothing
Friday... DD1 Scouts... hers is walking distance so I don't need to do anything most weeks
DD2 Rugby... out 5.45-8.30pm if DH not at home
Saturday... Climbing, out 12-4 as its a 40 minute drive.
Sunday... Rugby... out for a good 4 hours usually! But that is mixed between me, DH and FIL.

I've had to be honest... I can only facilitate one sport each.

More than mine ever did! However if they love them all, you may have trouble cutting down.

It does sound a bit much. My DC do lots of after school activities but not nearly as much as yours! I'm surprised football training is twice a week? Here it would be once a week plus a weekend match unless you're in an academy team or similar.

That's insane.

You'll drop before you're 50.

Stop now. Get an au pair or nanny or do fewer hours or something but your health is not worth sacrificing for this!

DD1 - 10 hours a week trampolining (6.30-8.30)
DD2 - 17-21 hours a week Gymnastics (4.30-8.30pm weekdays Sunday 10-3pm)
DD3- Nothing as shes only 3 but it will come.

Only Free night is a friday where we have nothing on....and yes i was one of these parents that used to say id never do it.....yet here i am in the thick if it.
