Easyjet names issue

Booked flights hurriedly for me and DH as his mother is ill and we need get overseas to see her.

Panic checked in then realised I had missed out both of our middle names on the details. The middle names are on our passports

Website says middle names must be included and its £55 each to amend a name.

Should I chance it at the airport or call them and ask for help?

I think middle names are not an issue or at least haven't been with with the airlines I fly with.

I have a first name that is usually shortened, think Steve and Steven.

If that isn't written the correct way then it can be an issue depending on how strict they are being at check in.

I have had to change it a couple of times. One I was on an expensive ticket and it got done for free.

The other I was on a cheap ticket and it was done for free at the airport and I was not charged.

I can imagine some airlines might take the opportunity to charge for it.

To confirm did you fly and it was fine? I have just checked in on easy jet and panicked as all 4 of us including children don’t have middle names on booking of boarding card now…
I am really confused as if they would have said first and middle name at time of booking I would have 100% included them but really don’t want any stress at the airport with kids in tow!
Thanks

I found this issue too and flying out next week! Panic set in! info online was contradictory but I spoke to advisor via WhatsApp and they added middle names free of charge, took 5 mins 😀
