Well, none of us are on your MH team so we won't know.

I guess you just have to ... ring your MH team? You won't find any peace asking a load of randoms on Mumsnet.

That must be horrible, though - I hope you get things sorted soon and best wishes.

Sneezygrumpydopey · 08/06/2024 22:22

I did and they don’t know they just said well you were referred to the team so maybe you are but n written diagnosis

And I’m asking a bunch of ransoms as someone may have similar experience or knowledge. I guess pretty much why others post too?

You don't know what has changed in the administration in the last 10 years. It could easily be that you were referred to XYZ team, which ten years ago was the team which supported anyone who was ND, bipolar, PD, anxiety, and now is the team which exclusively supports PD.

It could be that there was a query over a PD and you were referred either to confirm or rule out.

It could be that it's a wrong record.

The only way to find out is through a subject access request.

theeyeofdoe · 08/06/2024 22:25

You can ask for a copy of your medical records.
Please could some posters stop putting iv rather than I’ve.
It’s really confusing.

RampantKrampus · 08/06/2024 22:25

If you’re waiting for an adhd assessment and you’ve previously been referred to a personality disorder team (even if it was without your knowledge or consent!), have you considered that you might be autistic?

bridgetreilly · 08/06/2024 22:26

I think you need to ask your current team to assess you, rather than try to get to the bottom of what happened ten years ago.

EggshellSpacesuit · 08/06/2024 22:27

I would just wait and see.

A lot has changed in the past 10 years, too. Many women who were previously diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, for example, have since been diagnosed with ADHD. We know so much more about how it presents in women now.

It’s certainly irritating if nothing was communicated to you though.

How does that follow?

How does that follow?

Autistic women are often misdiagnosed as having BPD. ADHD and autism are often overlapping diagnoses.
