To suspect garage of messing with my tyres?

Not sure which topic to post this in, so this is as good as any…
My car was in for a service this week with a national wide garage and came out with e recommendation and quote to replace three tyres.
I picked it up at 5pm, and when driving later on at 9.30pm a low tyre pressure warning popped up on the dashboard.
When we got home my DH investigated and discovered the valve core was unscrewed and the tyre was slowly leaking air. He managed to tighten it up and pumped up the tyre.
The next day my DS was driving it and had a low pressure warning on the other front tyre. Further investigation revealed exactly the same problem; a loose valve core.
Fortunately for me, DH is quite handy with these sorts of things, and has fixed the issue, but we are now both suspecting that the garage has left these valves untightened ‘accidentally on purpose’ so that I’ll feel the urgency to replace my tyres with them.
What does everyone else think? Is there a way this could have just happened coincidentally right after the garage visit?

No reason other than to con OP into buying new ones!🤦🏼‍♀️

You work for one of those chains don’t you😂

Kind of - we own a chain of private garges, 600 of them. This is as true as if "you work for them,"😂

I guess it could happen as many crooks around

Sounds like they tried to upsell you. Don't go to that garage again if it can be helped. I'm sorry this happened to you.

Edited

Scratch that. What they did is fraud.

To be fair, the tyres probably do need replacing, but even if it was a coincidence or an honest mistake I won’t be going back to that particular garage to have them done. For two valves to be suddenly leaking air after a service is way too fishy for me.
I did call them up to let them know what was going on. I didn’t accuse them of anything, was just matter-of-fact, so whether they made a mistake or they did it deliberately, they know I am aware.

Tell you what

Look them up on Trustpilot - then read all of the negative reviews and see what they say

importantly, if they are decent outfit - they often respond to all negative reviews in a practical way

then share it with us

NB - you will always get a few negs on almost all company sites - but look for a pattern
