Chequers I know where you're coming from. If she was a boring ol' ca' you'd have cut the cord years ago. But she's part of your history and she's probably fun too!?

I wouldn't take the 'lack of reeespek' from any other acquaintances I am friendly with ..

Oblomov · 07/04/2008 10:12

Sorry, that came out a bit harsh. I am having a day of it today. I can't cope with people being badly treated - husbands shouting over birthdays and sandwiches etc - forgive me.
What I meant was, you other friends when she says this about you, do they know what she is like. Does anyone actually challenge her at all, saying " well actually, chequers always.... are you sure it wasn't you..."
I mean, her way of treating you and then trying to blame you is a bit disrespectful.
People must not be allowed to treat othes like this.
Sorry everyone. Calm down Oblomov.
Hope you have a nice time.

Chequers. Will get in touch when I am on ML.But I do moan a lot in RL! Getting really fat too! I haven't got round to checking the labour ward in MK. Still convince I will get my HB.
Glad you managed to meet up with your friend. I hope you had a good time

Look, if it was something she really wanted to do she would get in contact with you and do it. I think it if someone doesn't reaay bother to respond to something then that means that they just don't want to do it.

During your friendship there must have been times that she would actually respond in good tim eto something, maybe these were the things she wanted to be involved with.

I can be a bit slow to respond to things that I can't be bothered to do, though I do try and respond with even a made up excuse if I reallly don't want to do it

Hi Chequers

I hope you had a good time with your friend on Monday.

Just thought I would let you know my impressions of the labour ward. I had to go yesterday for monitoring as I had a bit of a scare (everything seems alright now though). The MW and the doctors were absolutely lovely. Very very nice. But gosh the ward!! I was in a room with a bathroom shared between two delivery suites. Can you imagine: you are in labour, want to go to the toilets and bump into the woman having her baby next door. On top of it when you are in the bathroom you can hear everything happening in the other room! And the best bit...there was no soap to wash your hands and some blood on the floor!

I really really really hope I'll get my HB. I will do the tour soon, perhaps the other suits are better. Let me know how you get on with Northampton

thing is the more forgiving/understanding you are of her behaviour the less likely she is to ever change. I wouldn't hang around for her. She had her chance(s) to contact you. She'll have to be more prepared next time. You have a life as well. If she gets upset then stay calm and state quite reasonably that you really want to see her but can she make proper arrangements with you next time. If she is reluctant then how desperate is she to see you??

Hi Chequers

Glad you had a good time with your friend.

I am stalking you on all your threads! I have replied to your hypnobirthing one as I have done a course.

I am ok I think still waiting for test results. I had another leak yesterday but have decided not to worry myself unless I have lower back pain as well.

Let me know how it goes with bedford. If I can't get my HB I might look into the other hospitals and perhaps being transferred there. What do you have to do to change hospital? I am not to fussy really, I just want somewhere clean where I won't feel like I will catch a deadly infection at anytime.

Re fear and drugs, read some books (the best one I read and I could lend is called Stand and deliver). First time round I just didn't want to know and I ended up having a not very nice labour. The more informed you are the better. At the end of the day, you will manage one way or the other so don't worry. I think hypnobirthing might be a very good idea actually. Off to do some work. Speak soon
