Is my monthly budget reasonable?

I am very lucky to be in a well paid job and earn 3300 per month. I had quite a significant payrise last year, which coincided with the cost of living crisis and has left me a bit unsure about my budgeting and in particular the monthly amount I spend on food and general spending (‘frittering’!).

I always feel like I am splurging, but the amount I am saving also seems pretty good to me…. unless it should be more?
I used to feel that I was sensible with money, but that confidence has gone since I’ve been both getting and spending more of it.

So, does this look like a well-prioritised monthly budget to you? I live alone and have no dependents.

Spending:
700 mortgage
450 council tax, all utilities and other direct debits like union membership, TV licence etc.
200 car loan
200 food
150 Petrol
450 ‘frittering’, including socialising, clothes and makeup, hairdresser, gifts and anything extra.

Short term Saving:
£60 for Christmas
£100 for annual car expenses
£250 holiday fund
£50 dental treatment / new glasses.
£100 regular saver ‘pet insurance’.

Long term Saving:
£600

If anything, your food spending seems low. I'm a believer in living life. You've got the right mix of saving and spending.

Looks like a sensible budget to me. A reasonable balance of essential spending, saving and discretionary spending. I might be tempted to either reduce the frittering or long term savings and overpay the loan but it depends on the interest rate. I would also look into overpaying the mortgage or pension.
