Facing burnout at work

Staff are leaving without being replaced. Apparently we are 450 hours over per month staff wise. That’s head office for you not tailoring the store needs with the population of the local areas of each store.

Then got two colleagues on sick, one on ML, then another is looking her her DGSs as her DD is in hospital (Dads not living nowhere round here), Then it’s holiday season.

We are getting send so much stock that needs to be rotated, code checks. Head office will not let us transfer the stock to another store.

Plus I have to support checkouts as no one available to do breaks.

Everybody is fed up expecting to do more with less people power. Customer whinging without contacting head office to vent their frustration etc.

If nothing is done soon, we are going to suffer from burnout.

I know this might not be the answer you were looking for and certainly no quick fix, but can you look to leave?

Would love to leave but looking for admin type work but potential employers want people with experience. I do admin work for a couple of local organisations voluntary and know how to use computers and ms office etc.

Sounds like you do have experience to me! Can you sign up to a couple of agencies/take a look on LinkedIn just to see what your options are?
