To not know what to do with half a day in Paris this week

Shamlessly posting here for traffic. I'm in Paris for work later this week and have half a day free on the day I come home. What shall I do? I've been to Paris plenty of times before, so have seen all the 'sights'. I like art, galleries, museums, wandering, sitting in cafes...

I'm staying/working in Saint-Denis (north of the city) and travelling out of Gare du Nord.

I'd be eating oysters at Terminus Nord!

Have you visited the Musee Jacquemart-Andre on Boulevard Haussmann? It's beautiful and not far from Gare du Nord. https://www.musee-jacquemart-andre.com/en

Still closed for refurbishment and not due to open until September. One of my favourites.

If OP likes fashion, I suggest the Galerie Dior.Simply stunning. Followed by a look round Le Petit Palais, which is free. Sadly I think their cafe is closed right now for refurbishment prior to JO. Or, see if the LV Dream expo is still on. It’s free and gives a great overview of the Vuitton brand.

Another nice museum is MAD, by the Louvre. They’ve got a great expo on right now on jewellery and designer clothing.

if you visit Saint Chapelle, then I recommend Les Sarassines restaurant on the Ile Saint Louis. It’s just before you cross the bridge to the right bank. They do a decent formula at €15 for 3 courses.

Or the Catacombs, if not done? I found it fascinating.

The 150 year impressionists exhibition at the Musée D’Orsay is very good if you are there in time. Otherwise I would go with the cafe sitting and a random small gallery - muse de La vie romantique is another one to try and

I visited Musée D’Orsay when I went to Paris back in 2002, and I loved it so much that I remember it better than the Louvre.

@Oriunda to add to your post on LV dream, there is a cafe above the exhibition with exquisite cakes and a nice view

Yes, the LV cafe. The cakes are a work of art, at an exquisite price! But def worth a trip as a one-off.
