Cinema etiquette!

I’m not during I’m being unreasonable to find this annoying.
Weve recently been to the cinema a lot more than usual.
Every time we go, there’s always people that arrive late and make a lot of noise finding their seats etc. I get that people are late and that happens but it annoys me when they are so noisy!
Yesterday a lady and her two DC came and sat in the row in front of us about ten minutes into the film. The DC were quiet but the woman stood with her back to the screen loudly talking to the children.

AIBU to expect people who come late to at least try and be quiet and respectful?

We recently had someone who let their DC & friend talk through the whole film.
Teen had enough and did a loud “shhhhhh”. The dad laughed, the tweens carried on talking.
At £24 ish for our ‘treat’ it was bloody annoying.

everywhere you go there are inconsiderate people, once in the cinema someone had brought their tiny baby and we were all treated to an entire bedtime routine in the middle of the cinema (it was an early evening film) baby was changed (yes in the cinema, nappy then outfit), fed a bottle (baby protested to this loudly), then put in a sleeping bag and loudly shushed to sleep while fighting it the whole time and was obviously not happy with the noise of the film.

I get that babies are portable but come on, don’t go to a sold out peak time showing with a baby, most cinemas do special screenings.

I went to the theatre and a man in our row kept texting - the light from his phone was incredibly distracting. My mum politely said to him in the intermission that he shouldn’t be using it as it disturbs others. Instead of apologising, he doubled down with some story about a sick relative in hospital who he needed updates on. To which my mother replied (much less politely) if your relative is at death’s door why are you sitting watching The Lion King 🦁 🎵 He huffed a bit but did put the phone away in the end. Some people are just so entitled.

It’s just happened every time for us and it winds me up. We’d saved to do the expense of four films recently which were eagerly waited for by our kids and every time there’s been issues. Time before last we had teenagers behind us that spoke through the entire film and then my daughter sneezed and they shushed her 🙄

Oh and the mum who kept taking photos with flash during the film. That was fun too! 🙄

Some people are absolute fucking pigs, they hang out together and encourage one another. Hence the entitled that behaviour. They also breed, probably also in the cinema, yuck.

I complained twice about a group of rowdy teens - fuck all was done about them but we had our tickets refunded.

We went to watch a comedian this week and there were 2 couples behind us - not even together, 2 separate couples - who talked all the way through the first half. Luckily there were spare seats elsewhere so we moved in the intermission but I was raging. How could anyone think that was a reasonable way to behave? Why would people want to hear them rather than the comedian?

@CuttingMeOpenthenHealingMeFine

I was in that situation for a Marvel film. Crashy Smashy Loud. Babe in Arms cried throughout. Selfishness and child abuse.

I wait until the film has been out for a few weeks then go and see it. I’m not working and can be flexible.
I usually have the cinema to myself 😀

I usually go to the cinema in the week when it is quiet but went this afternoon with a friend to see 'Captain America'. Group of 4 lads around 12 years old running up and down, throwing popcorn and each others shoes down the aisles. Fortunately they left after 40 minutes. I really despair.
