Would you have eaten it too?

I’ve just had a handful of raspberries. Washed them completely, the ones I had were fine. Went to get some more and noticed some of the other ones have a white dust on them, I’m not sure if that’s them turning bad. They are in date. A bit worried about getting sick? DH says overthinking and that most people wouldn’t even wash nor particularly look at them and would just eat them, but I’m in worry mode tonight!

Can you highlight the supposed 'white dust' in your pic OP? It just looks like the inside of a normal raspberry! Do you have health anxiety? Are you having any support for this?

It’s hard to see on the pic because of the lighting. Yes, and yes

Blimey am I the only one who pulls the grey bits off when they start going mouldy and eat the rest of each berry. I’ve always done it and never been poorly. The white dust is normal

It’s the top one on the left that I’ve peeled back a bit that is making me think?

That's just the look of a fresh raspberry, they all look like that when they are picked, they go pinker once they get older when the juice bleeds a bit. We eat most of ours straight from the bush and they haven't killed us yet

If they tasted normal they’re fine.
Mouldy raspberries taste foul.

It looks ok. Mould on raspberries is usually a bit more fluffy.

Thanks so much everyone. I think posting is part of the problem- validates the anxiety somehow! I do journal and look back and laugh at some of them 😂

Hahaha I like this plan. Tbh he wouldn’t mind. He would do the experiment so that I could relax 😂😂

That is the sign of a good husband OP. Congratulations on picking a good one Grin
