WHAT IS THIS/SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?

DD has has this strange circle on her tounge since last night, google is really worrying me. my DS also has a scabbed circle spot on his leg so worried it’s connected to that. any ideas what it could be? I have severe health anxiety so my brains racing

WHAT IS THIS/SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?

Did she eat something that was too hot and burn her tongue, resulting in a blister which has now burst? That's happened to me before now, and looked similar.

I doubt it's connected to the spot on your DS's leg, but perhaps post a picture of that too and maybe somebody will know what it is.

That looks sore! Did she have an ulcer there before? Has she eaten something really hot?

Take them both to a pharmacy and show the pharmacist, unless you can get a GP appointment in next couple of days. Or call 111. Likely nothing to worry about, but rule that out.

Is it hurting her? Perhaps see a pharmacist if so, they might be able to recommend a soothing mouthwash or something.

Looks like a burn or a mouth ulcer. Unlikely to be anything to worry about.

It looks like geographical tongue (I know that sounds made up, but it’s not!). If so, it’s painless and nothing to worry about.

Get her seen. I get similar marks on my tongue - geographic tongue it’s called, I saw a specialist and apparently there is nothing that can be done. I do think certain foods trigger it like citric or vinegary foods.

It looks like geographic tongue to me, my ds had it, or she sucked on a bottle too long, or it was too hot.
