Well inflation is now, what, 2.3% so they'll be telling us we don't need much of a pay rise any more do we?

I think independent bodies sort out pay reviews.

Not actually true. The pay body makes a recommendation and the government then decide. Ministers (or depts, but has to be agreed by ministers) then sign it off. www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-pay-review-body-remit-letter-2024-to-2025/nhs-pay-review-body-remit-letter-2024-to-2025-pay-round

The Tories didn't even bother asking for the pay review body to look at it until 20th December and asked them to report back in May.

I'm in Scotland so our NHS pay rise is decided by the Scottish Gov. Unison rep told me last week they write to them in February and still nothing is happening, so ours will be November to at this rate!
