Grievance procedure contact

I am part way through a grievance procedure with my manager for bullying and harassment. This is working its way through very slowly and he has been told that he is not my manager anymore and is not to contact me.

He has arranged to come to my place of work (he is usually offsite with very rare visits) twice this week and will expect me to meet him and be around him. I do not feel like this is appropriate and there is no actual need for him to do this. I'm sure he is trying to intimate me and make it look like I'm unhinged which he has form for previously.

If you are part way through a grievance is it appropriate for the other person to come to your place of work when they would not normally do it? I have asked for this not to happen and my wife says I should stay at home tomorrow to avoid seeing him.

I have been told that i am not allowed to discuss this with anyone so inhave literally no support at work fkr this and the others in my team don't know this is going on.

Would I be unreasonable to stay off? I have not stopped crying since i got home and catastrophizing about what would happen.

Sorry you're in this situation. You don't sound fit to work, self cert yourself for a few days breathing space.

If he has been told not to contact you, and you have proof of this, then what he is doing is intimidation (bullying - misuse of power) so you write an additional grievance letter (with your proof) stating you wish this to be added to your complaint. You email your ex manager and say you are not prepared to meet him as you have been told by HR he is no longer your manager and that he is not to contact you.

I'd be speaking to my union rep.

I wish I had one but its not something that's really discussed at my work

Self cert for a couple of days with stress and anxiety

He's trying to bully you, can you speak to HR to establish if he should be onsite (twice in one week) at the moment.
