I completely understand why J Saville's name is brought up by the media when they talk about sexual harassment and abuse.
However, I wish they would just not use his photograph. I don't want to see his creepy face. He probably would love that he is still being seen after his death.
Nobody needs to see his face. Those of us old enough will remember and younger people just don't need to know.
I'd like to just eradicate him entirely but realise that history can be uncomfortable and he is part of a very dark and vile narrative that cannot be ignored. His face though? Nobody needs to see it. Yuck.

People are being a bit mean. OP is clearly upset and you don't know how deep her issues are. He had many many victims.

OP, I know it's hard to deal with but the reality is if we erase history we can easily forget it and then we can't learn from it.

Oh please! If the op is 'upset' then a thread in AIBU is not the one!!

Just grow up and get on with your life. He happened. End of!

YANBU it's sickening to see his disgusting face.

Same could be said for Paul Gadd (or hearing his music), Lucy Letby and countless others who have committed dispicable abuse or murders.

I don't think we should forget him not only because of what he did but how he was enabled to get away with his terrible crimes ,by The BBC, and The police etc
I mean im not exactly thrilled by his photo
But i dont think we should air brush him away
