What paint shall I buy?

I would like to paint a wardrobe in the blue of the door in the photo. Would you please suggest paints for me, including the shade and finish I should go for if I want something that looks good and it's durable? It will be me doing it so it needs to be something easy to work with, so definitely not gloss or anything oil based. Thanks!

Farrow and Ball, Oval Room Blue in eggshell

Farrow & Ball Parma grey looks close to this. I did my kitchen cupboards in their modern eggshell (not in this colour) and it withstands cleaning and general daily use very well.

I used a lot of thin layers and a mohair roller to get a smooth finish. It was easy!

What material is the current wardrobe made of? The finish there will affect the prparation and paints (well, primers mainly) that you will need to use.

I can't name the colour, but I can firmly recommend Lick paint.

The coverage is incredible, you can use it on just about anything and it doesn't stink the place out. I found F&B terrible stuff to work with.

Colour-wise, Farrow and Ball, Oval Room Blue in eggshell looks spot on. However, I have worked with F&B in the past and I have found it a bit temperamental, not to mention expensive.

The wardrobe is made of solid wood, I have sanded the previous paint and applied a thin coat of primer.

I have not heard of Lick, but it's got some nice blues.

Will I disappoint myself if I just get some blue from Dulux eggshell range? So much cheaper!!

If you go to a Dulux paint mix shop, they will make up Farrow and Ball colours using Dulux paint. Best of both worlds!

You could use Scotch Mist by Frenchic. Pretty easy to work with.

I'd go for a Johnstones mix in the F&B colour you want, in eggshell finish

Bone China Blue from Little Greene?
