To drop the price so soon

We are desperate to move due to personal reasons. House is nice enough, some cosmetic issues on the inside which will be fixed by some paint but otherwise good location on a popular development, all rooms are double sized and a south facing bigish garden.
It has been on the market a week, in the first day they had 4 people ring within a couple of hours of it going live and have had 3 viewings so far and all the comments have been that it's lovely, good space, good layout (estate agent has done the viewings) and nothing negative has been said.
However we have had no further interest at all. I know it's only a week but this is supposed to be the initial rush and the fact there is nothing past these 3 viewings booked in and no interest is worrying me.
It's on for a reasonable price in line with the area and in line with the three valuations we had on it however we have said from the start that we would like the estate agent to push that we would be willing to negotiate (we are willing to negotiate about 25k down at this point). How we do we ask them to drop the price already?
I think it has spooked us that there is no other interest as when we were having photos done it was talked up that we should expect to have loads in the first couple of weeks due to the popularity.
The photos look good, everything is cleaned and bright and staged correctly.
We have a shortish timescale to get this move done (need to be moved by mid September latest) so don't know whether we drop now or just accept this isn't going to happen and pull it off the market.
Any help would be amazing

I would speak with the agents for advice. It may be that your initial viewers are interested but still looking at other options first. An approach to them saying a lower offer would be acceptable might be more effective than an overall reduction at this stage.
What was the feedback on the viewings?

We did, it does help it shift...

Feedback has been as follows

  1. Like the layout and size, impressed with bedroom sizes as it's rare to see them all be as big, liked the fact it's a large garage which could be converted to a home office.
  1. Apparently loved the house but has a house to sell which isn't on the market yet so realistically are not in the right position for us.
  1. Like the size and brightness of the kitchen and the upstairs space. Noted that they would have preferred an open plan layout but had no complaints

Give it a couple of weeks first. Our house went live but we couldn't take any viewings as DD became horrendously ill. Over a week and half later the EA informs us there are 12+ people waiting to view.

Personally I have several houses bookmarked that I really want to view (for the past 3 weeks) but haven't made an appointment yet. I wouldn't have been in a position to offer.

So as an update because I just need to vent.

We got an offer for 60k under the asking price! Obviously refused and estate agent said it was a ridiculous offer. They then came back 20k under so after thought we accepted. Put an offer into the one we liked which was accepted!

Just got a call saying they no longer want to proceed and we are fuming.

I know house buying and selling is a game but we are so deflated and the house we love is now obviously back on the market.

Just wanted a rant!
