To think that the loft builder should have told us our windows would not match?

We were asked if we want black or white windows. We said all black.

Turns out the Velux are white and don't even come in black. The company we are paying £75k+ didn't think it was worth telling us this.

When I told the builder we want the other (wall) window in the room to be white too them, he said, "Sorry, you ordered black."

Yep, sorry. I don't think it looks great at all. What colour are they on the outside, and what colour are the rest of your windows (outside)?

I'd have thought the most sensible resolution is to replace the black window with white (on the inside), and have the outside matching the rest of the house.

As a last resort, I guess you'd need to paint either the velux or the window to match each other - not what you want to do with brand new windows. But different colours from each other looks bad. And I can't believe your builders think otherwise.
