Hello. I've started selling stuff on Vinted listed my daughter's top for £2 - not suprisingly it sold v quickly- should have put more like £20 apparently ! Is it bad form to delist and relist for more money.?? Is Vinted worth the hassle? Thanks

I think you should honour the sale and post the item to the buyer. Firstly as it's the moral thing to do, secondly as you might get a poor review. This will put a lot of people off buying from you.

I can't answer regarding children's clothes, but I find with adults clothing that certain brands tend to sell better on vinted. For example, anything from Zara that I have listed seems to sell quickly. The trick is trying to work out what the 'desirable' brands are (I have favourited a mixture of items in the relevant size to see what sells quickly). The seasons do play a part, I.e summer dresses sell well in early spring when there is less competition but sun gets people thinking about summer clothes.

I've found clothes and jewellery sell well, not so much anything else that I have listed (e.g housewares or games).

I only have selected the postage options that are convenient for me, so no long trips to the other side of town for the sake of a couple of quid. I use holiday mode if I'm away/it's inconvenient to post anything for several days.

In terms of hassle factor- it depends on what you are trying to achieve. Are you mainly selling to declutter? Are you trying to make some extra money? Are you running a small side type business?

It's a really scummy thing to do

There will be an automatic 1 star review for cancelling the sale. You can repost the item after with corrected price.

I've been the buyer in this situation - the seller cancelled the sale and messaged me to explain. Annoying as I thought I'd found a bargain but I did understand.
