To complain to the nursery about this?

When DS was at nursery Friday I had a notification through the app to say he'd had a soiled accident.
Once I'd picked him up and got home I opened him bag and saw 2 seperate nappy bags with his dirty clothes in, 1 had the trousers and the other had the pants. I smelled poo right away so thought I best wash them asap.
When I pulled the bag containing the pants I was surprised to feel the weight of it and could clearly feel it was full of poo!
Because of his limited diet, DS does firm stools, so I know it's easy to just tip it down the toilet. I wasn't happy that they sent his poo home! It was also in his bag (for god knows how long), I use this bag to send in his spare clothes and packed lunch/water bottle etc.

Am I BU if I complain about this tomorrow?

Just throw the poo away.

Job done.

No need to complain.

To complain would be a complete over reaction.

absolutely unreasonable, surely?!

MyOtherHusbandIsAWash · 21/04/2024 08:05

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask politely if solid poos can be disposed of rather than remaining with the clothes. Seems quite odd to have left it!

I would absolutely complain! If the management team aren’t aware of areas that need improving things won’t change. They will welcome the feedback

BusyCM · 21/04/2024 08:12

Complain is a very loaded word....maybe you could just start by asking?

ThatBloatIsBloating · 21/04/2024 08:13

Maybe don't phrase it as a complaint. I'd question if it were usual procedure for poo to be sent home in solied clothing rather than tipped down the loo.

Is this your child's first accident since being potty trained or the first time poo has also been seny home in the clothing?

If you want a separate bag for soiled clothes then please provide one yourself.

Yes I will add I wasn't thinking of going guns blazing, the manager definitely seems approachable enough

Yes good idea I'll start putting a carrier bag in there

No you don’t need to complain.
You could politely ask that the poo is either tipped into the toilet if solid or the pants are completely disposed of in the nappy bin if not able to tip out.

WittyFatball · 21/04/2024 08:58

Someone was probably just busy and distracted, I doubt they deliberately sent a poo home.

Just chuck it and move on with your life.
