Where is my passport

Blamhe · 19/04/2024 16:26

Nc for this. Renewed my passport last year. I needed it today to send a picture for car hire for an upcoming holiday. We are a family of five, I keep all our documents together. Took out the five passports and noticed my old one was there with them. I have pulled everything apart, checked everywhere and no passport..

DH have had our ups and downs. He said he knows nothing about it.

Handluggage or suitacase from last trip

In. A drawer where you keep old currency

Did you accidentally bin your new one and keep your old one when you had both and post holiday? Especially if they're all the same colour.

Absolutely not. I would never bin a passport thst was out of date.

Have you used it as proof of identity somewhere? It could be in a handbag or a coat pocket you haven't used for a while.

No haven't used it. Would use driving licence or identity card.

Can you look in any drawers or bags your DH solely uses to see if he has hidden it for some weird reason?

Blamhe · 19/04/2024 16:54

I will look through his stuff.

Quick update. I found it. Miraculously it was back in the pile with the other passports when I went to look again.

Mysterious.

InAMillion · 20/04/2024 17:10

So DH hit it..... Tosser.
Have you hidden his now, ?

DancesWithBadgers · 20/04/2024 17:13

How very miraculous. I’d be locking stuff like this up from now on.

Maray1967 · 20/04/2024 17:17

Yes, I would take yours and the DCs’ and store them somewhere else - and anything else like that.

He’s an idiot if this was a Joe. If it wasn’t a joke, you’ve got a more serious DH problem.

Maray1967 · 20/04/2024 17:17

Joke!!

shoppingshamed · 20/04/2024 17:27

Were there 6 the second time you looked?

No there were not six, my DDs passport was not in the pile today but it was under a photo frame very close by. When I checked yesterday my DH and three kids passports were there as well as my old one.

I gave mine and the kids passports to my sister today. Said nothing to DH.

Where would you normally put the out of date passport? Have you looked there?

Sounds like someone is playing silly games, if you've been having issues with your partner, getting the passports out of the house is sensible

PaminaMozart · 20/04/2024 20:04

I agree.

Are there any other means of escape/escape routes that you might want to secure, @Blamhe ?

PaminaMozart · 20/04/2024 20:06

And clear or cache/delete your browser history while you're at it...

Better be safe than sorry.
