Do you believe in "signs"?

Like signs from the universe...
we had a miscarriage in October and suffer with infertility and 2 days in a row now my OH has seen rainbows. One was an actual rainbow and another was a bridge with a huge rainbow painted on it that he come across on a walk (where he's never walked before) Both very bright rainbows.
I want to believe it's a sign of maybe our rainbow baby this month.
Obviously I have a very rational logical brain that says "don't be ridiculous, it's just a coincidence and it was raining and sunny yesterday so there's going to be rainbow".
I choose to believe it's a sign but we will see.

Does anyone else believe in signs and did they come "true"?

I have a friend who very much believes in signs. She also lives down the road from me.

She was ecstatic to find white feathers all over her garden on the anniversary of a friend's death. She just knew it was her friend's way of telling her she was watching over her as an angel, by leaving her wing feathers.
I didn't have the heart to tell her that I'd found the remains of a dead pigeon left by a fox in my garden that morning. My garden was far more covered than hers.

I believe we see things and attach meaning to them and that often, happily, that gives us comfort. After a bereavement everywhere I went I saw butterflies and several times they settled on me for a while. It was such a small but beautiful thing that has not happened to me in 60 years before or since. It gave me such comfort.

Wishing you happiness and lots of good signs OP.

Big believer in signs!

Huge congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

Not a believer but that doesn't make the world any less happy/sad, interesting and marvelous. If I see things like rainbows I just stop and enjoy them for what they are.

Congratulations! Hope you get many magical moments with your future DS/DD and get to point out to them and share with them the many wonders of the world, big and small. Finding joy wherever you are is the great secret to life.

PS Thinking back, I've always found looking for signs happened when I was in a crisis, or sad, not knowing what to do or what was going to happen. Looking outside myself for a tip from the universe. More when I was younger.

Now my signs tend to be there are no forks left in the drawer - it's a sign to get some washing up done 😉

Congratulations.

Yes, I believe in signs. Sometimes it’s nice to just not be logical. There’s a great book called Signposts about this and what the signs could mean.
