WWYD: Sounds trivial but theft of make up from hotel room

Long weekend break away in a hotel. En route to destination I bought a couple of new makeup products (specifically a CC Cream & skin illuminator). Both were premium products (each worth circa £50). This afternoon I noticed that approximately a fifth of the illuminator had gone. There’s no way I could have used that much. I have applied it twice since purchase and For reference, this product usually lasts me 18 months. Have come back from a night out to find that now half of the illuminator has gone and the CC cream is almost empty.

Since we have been out of the room, it’s clear that the cleaning team/turndown service has been in. So my only conclusion is that it was taken by them. On the face of it, it might seem petty but WIBU to raise it with the hotel? We’re talking about close to £75 of product being taken and the purchase was a rare treat for me.

We got off a plane once last, hadn't even got to passport control when we remembered my phone was in the overhead locker - the customer service woman called them but apparently nothing had been found - it was within 5 mins ...... was bloody furious

I left my IPad in the seat pocket of a plane. Didn’t realise I had until I got to the hotel. It was never found.

I worked as a chambermaid when I was 16 in a 5 star hotel and there wasn’t anytime to steal or go through people’s things (not that I would ever think to do that). I had a set amount of time and room rate to so my focus was on cleaning and doing it efficiently. That said I always do inspect the bottom sheet when I stay at hotels as some of the chambermaids would smooth them out and not replace them
for the next guest (gross). They would also use the same stuff to clean the tea cups that they would use in the toilets. It was hard work but I did it honestly and it was only for one short summer period. The room rate 20 years ago was £120 per night and I was paid £3 to clean one room (summer student rate) but I got my staff meals in the hotel Included so not all bad.

Greece recently.
Came back from the lunch, and my husband's sunglasses were gone. He always put them in the same place in front of the TV. Case still there but now empty. And somebody had been in the drawer where I kept my makeup and things, and tidied it all. So weird. To tidy the inside of a drawer. And, yes, my lipglosses were never seen again.
