It could be fungal, so you'd need daktarin cream. How long have you had it?

Slightly disappointed with the lack of grossness in your photos 😞.
I have a fungal nail and the doctor recommended
Amorolfine 5% medicated nail lacquer .
I don't know if it's any good cos I've only used it a few times

Years and years! Tried a few things but mostly just covered it up with nail polish and pretended it wasn’t there! Xx

Go to a chiropodist!

It's really common. A pharmacist can give you advice, or if the stuff they give doesn't help then a podiatrist. In my area you can refer yourself to that. But some you have to go through GP. It's not anywhere near as gross as many a fungal nail I've seen btw 🤣

Foot health professional or podiatrist will help you. If it is fungal, the nail needs prepping before applying an antifungal for best results, and i would not be able to really tell until i took a look at it. (I have many decades of experience in this area). You need to get it looked at by a professional.

My pharmacist told me that Daktarin and the like aren’t very successful in treating a long established fungal nail infection and the only thing that will really shift it is a course of prescription anti fungal tablets. I’ve had similar advice from a chiropodist.

Not necessarily. Oral antifungals can be particularly harsh on the liver, and are a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. I treat plenty of drs who won’t go down the tablet route. Speaks for itself imho.
