A nasty cough? That's all. No temperature and well in herself while awake. Playing, eating, happy. But night times have been stressful with lots of crying and waking up due to the cough. Seems like a dry cough, no runny nose but slightly wheezy. Is she ok to go?

A dry cough can be indicative of tightened airways in small children not necessarily a dry tickle in the throat. DS starts his episodes with a dry cough. Do you have an inhayer for your child?

Yes I’d send her in. No temperature and well in herself so fine to go to nursery. If I kept my dd off with every cough or cold she’d hardly ever be in!

No she's never had one. I think it's a typical cough cold as she has a hoarse/croaky throat too. Literally right as rain during the day but very unsettled at night and waking up pretty emotional after a nap.

I guess if they are worried they will call me.

Coughs can last for weeks so I'd definitely send if she's otherwise well.

I’d keep her home if she’s under the weather and you can. It’s not “work” it’s nursery, and who wants to be out and about if they’re feeling grotty? Rest and cosseting now will help her get better quicker.
