For someone to go into a changing room and not come out for 30 minutes and then not even acknowledge they’ve taken that long?

OP I wouldn't have waited half an hour and I don't think you should have. Ten minutes and I'd have been going back into the shop and calling out next to the changing room x are you going to be a while? I'm heading to such and such...

I definitely would have called out into the changing rooms 'hey sue I'm going to sit in the cafe next door for a sandwich I'll see you there' etc. I wouldn't have waited for 30 mins

There’s no way I would have wasted half an hour of precious lunch time sat on a bench waiting for someone. I’d have gone back in and said you were heading off. Maybe she thought you needed some time for your call.

Yes, it would've pissed me off, - but - I wouldn't have waited that long, I'd have gone by 15mins. After starting to think about it after 10 mins. And/or I'd have gone into the changing rooms at 15 mins to say sorry, I'm off. I wouldn't have sat there for half an hour waiting.

I was thinking more like Mr Benn, maybe each clothing item she tried on took her to a different place?

You said you were going to make a phonecall...maybe she thought she would take her time?..maybe she had a phonecall? Why not just say "what the fuck were you doing in there?" Maybe she has some sort of disability slowing her down getting dressed? Maybe she had multiple layers to get on and off?...maybe she got stuck in one of the tops? Or even got locked in the changing room and she was calling out for you but selfishly you were sat on a bench for half an hour?

Oooh or maybe she thought you'd fucked off so mooched around the shop a bit longer so many possibilities right there.
