Wonder what Julia Davis has done?

Ep 5 of The Regime (bonkers show and not entirely keen, I have to admit) has a brief appearance by Julia Davis (of Nighty Night, and other things). But I did have to check the cast list to be sure.

As a recent "victim" of ill-judged Botox [my own stupid fault....], I suppose I am on high alert to these things.

I will screenshot the scene if I can.

She's got older and she's gone a bit crazy with the fillers. Slim people don't generally tend to have such plump shiny cheeks as they get older ....

Such a shame. She looked lovely before and didn't need work.

I really loved most of her stuff, “Nighty Nighty” she was brilliant, and just hilarious in “Gavin and Stacey”, often stealing the scenes from Alison Steadman. There was something else she was in, but I can never remember the name?

It looks like she’s had filler (a bit too much) I do hope she doesn’t have anymore, she had such an expressive face.

My face looked like that when had to take steroids. It might be that.

That’s what I thought. I had a friend who had to take steroids and was so puffy he looked quite different. I hope she is well.

She’s been doing stuff to her face for years (no shade from me - I get a bit of Botox). But what people don’t realise is that fillers last a lot longer than manufacturers say. So she may have started years ago, they look ok at first but then you keep putting filler on filler. And you lose perspective.

Nobody should be getting filler topped up annually. They last years and years.

I do think filler rather than steroids as the filler has made her eyes look smaller which is what happened when you overdo it.

I was going to suggest this.

My dsis looked very similar when she had to take long term steroids and other meds for a life limiting condition.

Just watched her in the episode and she does look different but I’ve not seen her in anything for a long time so maybe that’s part of it as well - she’s visibly aged.

I have a tiny bit of filler in some lines. I say tiny and it is completely unnoticeable other than I am a bit less wrinkled. The plastic surgeon who did it actually winced when he said he wouldn't try to change structure with filler or inject huge amounts to add volume. I think the thing with filler is that people notice the bad technique and just think the ones with good technique had good genes.

I remember seeing her in Camping and thinking she’d had filler then. And that was about 4 years ago.

I love her as an actress. But I think she’s definitely a fan of cosmetic work.

Yes, even this small part was played very well. But the frozen face - more evident in the footage than the screenshot - was distracting, to me at least. When this happens, it looks as though they still have numbness from dental anaesthetic.

She looks absolutely horrible.. big square face from fillers, pinched twisted lips. She was never a looker but now she does
