Is this too much for little ones?

Flying from Gatwick to Amsterdam
Staying 2 nights in Amsterdam
Then train to Efteling (1 hour plus short bus ride)
Stay in Efteling Hotel for 2 nights then back up on the train to Amsterdam, bit more of a look round then fly home.

Is it too much travelling and not enough time in one place? 2 adults and 2 children ages 2 and 7.

Please help, I am posting for traffic and just getting stuck but need to book soon.

I'd say fine at those ages. Too much at age three to 5 but a two year old will go with the flow and a 7 year old is old enough to appreciate it.

I think it sounds fine.

Could you get the Eurostar instead? Much more relaxing and not so restricted with luggage.

Good idea.

I've just looked and it's only £300 to hire a car for the 5 days (including all the extra insurances etc and child seats etc) so I'm now thinking 1 night in Amsterdam, get hire car, drive to efteling and stop on the way and explore. 3 nights in efteling (maybe not all the time in the park - do a bit of exploring) then home.
