To be cross I'm STILL paying the Dartford Toll

Yet another auto top up leaving my bank has made me cross. There is no alternative to the crossing besides a long traffic heavy detour.

I remember being told that when the new bridge had been paid off, the charges would stop, predicted to be 2003.

Government reneged. We'll be paying this stealth road tax for ever more.

I drove through a School Zone by mistake yesterday. Had to breathe a sigh of relief when I realised schools are off for Easter, as that would have been a £60 fine.

The perils of driving!

Anyone know where the cameras are in School Zones? The two affected streets in the zone near me have camera signs but the cameras aren't visible at all.

YANBU.

The one that bugs me is when they stopped giving grants for university study and started charging fees instead but said don’t worry, maintenance loans will be effectively interest free and the fees will onky be £1k a year.

YANBU and we also need at least 2 more estuary crossings. A tram and another public transport/ pedestrian crossing in East London.

This is one near me. At both ends the camera is behind you as you enter the zone.

There's at least 3 School Zones in a 1 mile radius so far, it's getting harder to dodge them.
