to continue with job move after discovering pregnancy?

I just found out I'm pregnant (4 weeks), but I was offered a new job 2 weeks ago, and will be moving in 2/3 months to a different (internal) role.

Because its continuous service, my enhanced maternity pay will remain in-tack and I wont get getting any probation periods as its an internal shift.

Should I tell my new manager or wait until I'm in the role and past 12 weeks?

I feel guilty but my last pregnancy ended in a loss.

What should I do?

Take the job and inform them whenever you would any other pregnancy. Do not feel guilty.

I don't see a reason why you would say anything to anyone before you're ready. What do you have to be guilty about? Life happens. Congratulations on your pregnancy, wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months. 💐

Are you worried they will withdraw the promotion if you tell them you are pregnant?
Generally I am of the opinion that honesty is always the best policy, but at 4 weeks pregnant you likely don't want anyone to know apart from you and your partner, so don't feel obliged to tell them, unless you would struggle to do the new job and need adjustments made?

I don't know what in-tack means in relation to maternity pay, but if it won't affect it, there's no financial reason to not go for it, surely?

I think the OP meant intact.

I don't think they can withdraw now its with HR, and our organisation is usually really strict with EDI (its a public authority). Its just more that I feel bad that I'm going to be leaving 6 months after going in - and like you i'm usually upfront with things. Though its so early, and I lost the last baby at 7 weeks so don't really want to risk it.

Its a home based office job so no risk to me or baby at all!

You are under no obligation to tell them until 25 weeks I think. Seriously why would you feel guilty. It's a workplace you are replaceable. You have a contract for employment and protected rights. Non issue. Tell them if you want to share good news but not because you feel guilty or awkward that you might be letting them down. That's internalised patriarchal capitalist mentality, and can fuck right off.
