Had a friend over to binge watch Love is Blind. At one point we ended up debating whether this Australian bloke is Hugh Jackman or not.

An ad for Xero. Surely he doesn’t need the money that bad is my argument.

YABU not to have googled the answer while the advert was on, you'd have known within 0.06 seconds who it was

They only have similar colouring and a few facial expressions in common.
If you are still not convinced open up the photo, and you will see that your ‘look alike’ has a mole on the right side of his face, close to the nose to mouth line.

Definitely nothing like Hugh Jackman though. I really thought that the picture in the OP was just a snap of the advert and HJ appeared in it later on. I didn't actually think the person in the picture was who the OP thought was HJ.

Looks nowt like him. However, Justin Timberlake is really starting to look like HJ in the video for his latest song.

Whenever I see those adverts I think "Why on earth is Hugh Jackman doing these godawful ads?" before realising it's someone else so you are not alone.

Slightly off topic but why do some big stars do these type of ads? DS and I couldn’t believe Samuel L Jackson is in an advert for Warburton bread. He’s Nick Fury for goodness sake!

I can see a resemblance in some of the photos posted by the OP but the guy in the ad is very obviously Rhys Darby (assuming you know him I guess! If you've not knowingly seen him in anything you probably wouldn't recognise him 😂)

It's Rhys Darby, a New Zealand comedian - he does a lot of stuff with Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clement

Saw that ad for the first time yesterday and did a triple take!

I can definitely see the resemblance between Rhys Darby and Hugh Jackman, but not enough to mistake one for the other!
