Today I was with friend at her house, she is eastern european and had tonnes of these little green mats lying around.

What purpose could they serve?

I managed to google 'Green Flat Cushion With Loops at 1 end' and it eventually appeared.

There it is, in the ad carousel at the top.

So why did you call them mats in your post when you were searching for green cushions?

Who asks what the purpose of cushions are, knowing full well they are cushions but pretends they think they are mats…

IMO cushions and mats in this are interchangeble.

Just ask her!! It might feel weird and awkward, but honestly - I’m sure it will be fine.

Some cultures sit on the floor to eat, no big deal.
