tiling Is dead easy. We did our own kitchen splash back in fussy encaustic tiles, through necessity, we were poor

years later we got a tiler in to do our bathroom and it’s not as good as the bit we did ourselves with absolutely no skills and two toddlers under our feet. I’d always do my own tiling now.

but a cutter offf fb marketplace, a good few extra tiles in case cutting doesn’t go well the first few times, and go slow and steady.

No way is that a 2 day job 😂

That would take me about 4 hours and I’m a DIYer. But as someone said, does depend on how many tiles have to be cut!

I agree about extending the tiling area, if you get water ingress behind the tiles, You’ll be replacing them. Finishing exactly at the edge of the bath could make fitting a shower screen awkward so consider your tile size and the fixings for any screen or curtain pole before you finalise the area. Don’t forget to consider edging trims for the sides if you are not tiling up to a wall/corner.

Re:cost, it depends. If the chap can’t park for free directly outside your property or has to lug stuff up 4 flights of stairs/corex protect a lift before being able to use it, it’ll be priced accordingly.

tile first day (1 day)

come back and grout second day (.5 day)

come back and silicone third day (.25 day)

unfortunately tiling is one of those jobs like plastering that has multiple stages, even small jobs will add up.

This. I wouldn't touch anyone who told me "it'll be done in a day". There is drying time involved.
