Is it acceptable to chat up or come on to a woman when she is in the gym or swimming pool/hot tub? And let's say the woman is older by 10-20 years than the guy?

Well either wayI think unacceptable really,especially older guy younger woman .dressed in swimsuit or gym stuff you are vulnerable.

I think it’s creepy as tbh. Gym chat ups always feel a bit more slimey that anywhere else for some reason. The age is irrelevant.

Yeah, I've never done this as thought it would be creepy. I'm around 30 though, it would be much worse for an older guy in his 50 or 60s to do it to a younger girl I agree, if I saw that I'd probably say something

I met my partner of 10 years in a swimming pool. One of those leisure ones with slides and floaties. Got chatting in the queue on one of the slides. Didn’t seem creepy at all. (Actually he wasn’t the first guy I’ve met in a swimming pool over the years!) Similar ages though.

I think if you feel creeped out OP, then it doesn’t matter if they are younger, young creepy men can be just as intimidating- even more so!

It’s weird how some men can’t just seem to have a normal conversation and will try and ‘chat you up’. Most women and men are able to converse normally without the other person feeling uneasy.

I've been going to the same gym for 18 years. Once, in the whole time, someone tried to come on to me. I was about 27 at the time.

Maybe the wedding ring puts them off.

Extremely annoying and creepy.
