AIBU to Think That DJ Shouting 'SEXAYY' at a School Disco with 4-Year-Olds is Absolutely Ridiculous?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share my recent experience at my child's school disco and get your thoughts on whether I'm being unreasonable or not.

So, picture this: I'm at the school disco, surrounded by a bunch of adorable 4-year-olds who are having the time of their lives, dancing away to some catchy tunes. Everything seems great, until the DJ decides to shout "SEXAYY" over the speakers.

Now, call me old-fashioned, but I couldn't believe my ears. I mean, what on earth was the DJ thinking? A school disco is supposed to be a fun and innocent event for young children, not a nightclub.

I understand that DJs want to create a lively atmosphere, but there's a time and a place for everything, right? And in my opinion, shouting suggestive phrases like that at a school event with 4-year-olds is just plain ridiculous.

Am I being unreasonable to expect better from the DJ? Shouldn't they be more mindful of the young audience they're entertaining? Or am I just an old hag?

Some ill-thought-out DJ spiel is worthy of reporting to the police?

No wonder the police are run ragged and getting nowhere.

ill thought out? Not sure about the men you know, but not one single man I know would say "sexy" to a group of young children. The only man I know is that came close was a paedophile. You need your eyes wide open for this shit, damn.

Repeatedly shouting SEXY at a bunch of young children is not ill thought out. It's revolting.

Not really appropriate for primary school children, weren't any school staff there to have a word with him?

I had a female friend call my dd sexy kecks when she was a toddler, I told her I was not comfortable with it. She didn't understand why but respected it. Sexy kecks was a saying my mum used to use and I never was comfortable with it.
