^typo… To want to seduce a Swedish man and fly there for a fling…

I’m a single Mother, I recently have crossed paths with a Swedish man virtually via work. We’ve never met, just shared our interests. He has a gist of what I look like. I wasn’t expecting to develop steamy thoughts, as we weren’t communicating for that reason. He’s sent a photo or two and everytime I look at it, I think about how much I want to ride a tall Swedish man into the sunset….

Is it completely unrealistic to build a connection and email when what I want is unobtainable & not practically realistic.

Am I being a 13 year old ? I know I need to meet men in real life but I don’t feel inspired by anyone or up to it. Also, this is the first sensitive and sweet man I’ve spoken to in so long.

What is wrong with me ? Why am I so horny over a photograph and a shared interests?

I would suggest sharing more photos and talking via video before too long, particularly if you're concerned that physical attraction is an issue or if you have any doubts that he's genuine. Back in the wilds of the earlier internet romances, however, many couples met and formed attractions and feelings for one another without being able to see much of one another, beyond some photos. It can happen. (Speaking from experience...)

From what I hear from single friends dating in the UK, the country's population of decent men is AWOL.

I say go for it. Flirt away. Who knows, it might end up with you living in filthy Scandi bliss on a boat in the Swedish archipelago, or in a painfully stylish Gothenburg apartment (I hope Gothenburg; it's much nicer than Stockholm IMO).

Can I ask: what do you mean by 'He has a gist of what I look like'? Have you sent him a pencil sketch?

Swedish men are lovely, frequently more egalitarian than the sorry specimens on the Relationships board, but can be desperately shy. But signs like you're willing to be proactive.
