Dirty nappies in front garden

DogualCat · 28/02/2024 13:46

One of my delightful neighbours chucks dirty nappies out of her windows onto the front garden. They are in nappy sacks and do get picked up in the end but is it just me who thinks this is absolutely disgusting?

I've had to go out and pick up loose nappies strewn across the street this morning as something has got into a bag and strewn the contents along the pavements. it's just so vile and I can't work out why anyone would do it? I've seen a few other houses where filled nappy sacks have been sat outside front doors so am I missing something? Is this a thing?

Very medieval to be throwing human waste out the window!

ttcat37 · 28/02/2024 20:22

Ugh, that’s revolting. If you think it’s ok to lob dirty nappies into the garden then you are a truly grubby scruff.

RamanaBanana · 28/02/2024 20:48

They're the same kind of people who throw their fast food waste out of car windows and drop litter on the streets rather than take it home and dispose of it.
Filthy!
There is no excuse for laziness, and that's what it is.
You could buy a cheap pedal bin to keep by the back door to put them in if you're too lazy to go to the main bin.
I'd report them to the environmental health.

brightyellowflower · 28/02/2024 20:53

Grim. My next door neighbour does this. Also leaves her bins out front. I can't tell you how pissed off we all our, the other neighbours I mean It was/is a nice neighbourhood and honestly it's bringing the area down.

Akin to having a trampoline on your front garden or leaving out an old settee in my mind.

Some people literally don't give a shit though about the impact on others. As a society we are getting more and more selfish. No standards!

brightyellowflower · 28/02/2024 20:53

I might add, just as bad as people who let their dog out to poo and don't immediately pick it up!

Giveupnow · 28/02/2024 20:54

Wow big over reactions. I put mine in a bin bag, which I leave outside my back door. Goes in the wheelie bin once a day. I’ve left it outside the front door before. Why is it such a big deal? It’s never blown away or been ripped open by foxes. The responses here are bizarre.

Wellhellooooodear · 28/02/2024 20:58

She's a disgusting fucking tramp. I feel sorry for you OP living next to it.

Not the same thing as lobbing it out of the window into the garden is it though 🙄

pokebowls · 28/02/2024 21:22

Why did you pick them up OP? If they were all over the road surely she should have dealt with them

You have a bin bag. That's not the same and just throwing rubbish out the window all day.

She doesn't want the nappy to make her house smell in her indoor bin. So she's chucking them outside so she doesn't have to leave baby every time while she traipses to the outdoor bin. I'm not saying this is reasonable btw, but I'm guessing that's why. I have my wheelie bin pulled right up to the back door when I'm home alone for similar reasons!

You can buy nappy disposal bins for this reason. Maybe OP should order one off of Amazon and order it to the dirty woman's house 🤣

SmokedPaprikaPuffs · 28/02/2024 22:18

They have to go straight in the outside bin as they stink if just put in the kitchen/bathroom bin. And just playing devils advocate, the mum might not want to leave the baby inside while she goes out to the bin.
I wouldn't have cleaned the street up when it's not your mess.

Biggybigbiggles · 28/02/2024 22:24

Why is it disgusting if they're in nappy sacks? Unless you're going up to them and sticking your face in them?

Noseybookworm · 28/02/2024 22:46

Report to your local council - it's a health hazard and will attract vermin.

DavysTractor · 28/02/2024 22:47

Why aren't people emptying the content of the nappies into the toilets and flushing? Any wipes and nappy in a bag, tied and binned.

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 28/02/2024 23:20

I have never heard of people behaving this disgusting. Ugh.

ancienticecream · 28/02/2024 23:29

Put the poo in the toilet and nappy in the bin. No smells. It's amazing, they should try it!

Just searched for this thread because I read it the other day and thought about how glad I was that none of my neighbours did such a foul antisocial thing. Then I walked round the corner today to see that the front garden of a newly moved in young mum had 3 bags lying on the ground under her window that obviously contained shit filled nappies.

Her youngest is a toddler and could easily be left alone while she goes out to chuck a bag in her bin. She's always happy to leave her alone when she's outside her back door having a smoke.
We have lots of foxes roaming around here so her shit bags are going to be ripped open and strewn all over the place. I'm so glad that I don't live next door to her.

I was friendly and welcoming to her when she moved in. Now I just think of her as a dirty scumbag.
