Tell me your happy ending career story... after repeated failures

Posting here for some traffic. I can't take it anymore and need a cheer-up. I was made redundant a year ago and have been working so hard ever since to find something to make ends meet. I've been rejected a thousand times, worked even harder, and failed again. Today, I have been rejected from another potential dream job and am hitting rock bottom. I feel like it's not going anywhere, and I'm not sure how I'll get up again tomorrow. Please tell me a happy ending story of how you recovered from hitting rock bottom in your career.

I can't tell if this is a not so stealth brag or not but here goes

Company I worked for folded, decided to do my own thing, happened to be in the right place at the right time and sold it several years later for life changing money.

I was on the bones of my arse, living with parents at age of 29 in a two bed working out of my childhood bedroom, one DC and another on the way

Ask for interview feedback. Get your CV professionally done. Most of all don’t give up. I’m sure there is a company out there, questioning where all the decent staff are? Why aren’t we attracting XX candidates? You just haven’t applied to the right place yet. Everything happens for a reason 🤞🏼

Wow @ChorltonWheelie that's amazing what did you do? I love hearing success stories!

Not quite the scenario you gave, but this is my story. I was a primary school teacher for 30 years. I loved my job, but then I rather spectacularly burned out and ended up in a mental health unit. Going back to teaching once I'd recovered just wasn't an option. Whilst I was on sick leave and wondering what to do, I went along to a local antiques auction. I was watching the dealers and thought "I could do that". So that is what I do now, I buy and sell antiques and vintage. I started small and gradually grew. I make enough now to have a steady income. I'm not rich, but I have enough .... just!
