Smelly armpits and silk!

Sorry I didn't know what to call the thread! So I have some lovely silky blouses and cashmere jumpers but I hardly wear them as it's a palaver to wash them. I find when I do wear them the armpits either become a bit smelly or they are smothered in deodorant....either is not ideal. I've tried sticking panty liners in that area of the garment but they never stay in place causing more embarrassment when they slip out!

Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated!!!

Wash with unscented bar soap rather than shower gel.
pits don’t smell as much.

Talc rubbed in?

Have you tried just airing them out instead of washing? Unless you've really sweated on them, I find that after being hung up for a few days smells often just go away, especially with wool.

Also I wash my silk & cashmere in the machine on a handwash setting, always comes out fine.

You stick pantyliners on your jumpers??

It's a trick that absorbs the sweat so you don't get patches or sore
