Experiences of being too keen/coming on too strongly?

Has anybody ever come on a bit too strongly to someone they're attracted to? What did you do?
I did, I regret it but I've really learned my lesson. I didn't do anything crazy or psychotic but looking back I regret it.
Just interested to hear any stories, and if you learned from it.

When I was much younger, yes - it stemmed from not knowing them (having them on a pedestal or making a fantasy of them), and not valuing myself enough. It was quite silly…

I learned from my mistake very quickly, and got “the ick” 🤣🥳

I had a friend that did this a lot when younger. She has some other mental health issues too. We all tried to support her as best we could, but it was school and people can be mean. She’s doing a lot better now, I’m glad you’ve learnt from your experiences too, it must have been tough.

I was more like this in my 20s. Now in my 30s and I've recently done it with someone I know, I have to see him around sometimes still which is tough but I'm cordial. I just want the ground to swallow me up.
